In the LIFE LOGOS 4 WATERS project, we aim to support local, small-scale innovative solutions to help municipalities adapt to the impacts of climate change. The programme is implemented with the active participation of local communities and civil society organisations. When applying, it is an advantage to involve not only the local population but also the resources (financial resources, voluntary work, expertise) provided by local economic actors. The submitted small-scale, innovative solutions will be included in a collection of good practices to be developed and shared with other interested municipalities. Winners of the call for proposals will also be able to participate in some of the LIFE LOGOS 4 WATERS project events, international study trips, climate workshops, pilot training and summer universities.
The aim of the call for proposals
The aim of the programme is to encourage and support the wider use of small-scale investments in natural water retention (hereinafter NWRMs) in adaptation to climate change at municipal level. It also aims to raise awareness of the potential of using small-scale, nature-based, cost-effective solutions and to highlight the success of participatory actions (involving the local community). In this context, the applications received can also be considered as a collection of good practices, which can form part of the online database of the project. The programme also aims to raise awareness of natural water retention measures through a broad professional dialogue involving municipal professionals and decision-makers.
